Dr. Kaboom is the region's premier balloonologist specializing in balloon costuming. He is a master balloon magician, daredevil stilt walker, juggler, fire artist, storyteller, swashbuckling sword swallower (retired), clown, unicyclist and ringmaster.  He has been described by those who know him best as a madcap, zany performer. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Magicians as well as the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the International Jugglers Association, the International Unicyclist Federation, Clowns Canada and various other organizations. He has performed at major busker festivals as well as fairs, festivals and events around the province. During the school year Dr. Kaboom runs a circus workshop program for youth at risk in Ottawa.

Chris Cartier 

Chris studied at the National Circus School of Montréal and he brings a wide range of talents to the centre ring. Master of the trampoline, he instructs at a local gym as well as with Dr. Kaboom's youth circus. You'll be seeing lots of Chris this summer as he displays his juggling skills with seven balls, clubs, rings, torches and other amusing or dangerous objects.  He is a one man circus all by himself and and we are pleased to be able to count him as a member of the Kaboom Krew.

Genesis Juane - Illusionist 

Genesis is undoubtably the most amazing fire and escape artist ever. 

His fire artistry is truly spectacular and when combined with Dr. Kaboom's full fire show is something you'll be talking about for weeks to come.

DéDé le Cloun (Andrée Rainville)  

She has the voice of an angel and the heart of a lion. She'll get your party started and keep everyone rockin'. She juggles, stiltwalks, sings, dances, performs acrobatic routines & rhythmic gymnastics but she's just as comfortable  telling stories or twisting balloons. She has performed in numerous plays and theatre events in the National Capital Region.

She is a great performer in either official language.

Vito Michienzi

The measure of magical prowess is determined by the ruler of the effect.  Vito will shape your mind and in the end you will be left wondering what has changed and how. The borders are still present but somehow you will find yourself on the other side. He will change your perceptions of what is real and unreal and will leave you believing that you are in an altered reality where magic rules.  

His magical talents can be combined with his balloons to round out any event.

Shaggy le Fou  

André Briseboise firsst teamed up for the Danford Lake, PQ winter carnival with Dr. Kaboom and things were so hot the snow melted. Between  Shaggy's  globewalking, juggling routine while blindfolded and Dr. Kaboom's Voodoo Witch Doctor skit the entire village was left in stitches and rubbing their britches. 

Shaggy is a great performer in either official language.

Fire Breathing Comediene

Ève Alexandre-Beaulieu's is a young French comedienne, fire artist and clown/fool. She has performed this spring in a cross-Canada improv comic tour and is currently performing with a local theatre group. Her ability to combine comedy,  fire breathing, juggling, clowning and acrobatics makes for an explosive mix that will light up any event. We are happy to welcome Ève to the Kaboom Krew.

 Aerialist & Trapeze Artist

Colleen Forrest is currently in Kamploops, BC  with her flying partner and will be in Cancun for the winter. She will return in the spring in time for Dr. Kaboom's Mini Mobile Circus' summer performance schedule with a new portable rig. Returning to the Ottawa area in Spring 2007

Dance FX - Hip Hop culture has become a global phenomenon, originating in the Caribbean the roots of Hip Hop stretch way back to Jamaican ska music of the 60s. This ska style of music was brought to New York City where  it evolved into modern day Hip Hop and rap. Our dancers have taken this dance style to an extreme edge and their grace, rhythm and movement will leave you transfixed.

Titanic Tumblers - Our tumblers will amaze you with their abilities, rhythm, dedication and enthusiasm as they perform for you. Watch them strut their stuff as they attempt to break the barriers of human endurance and flexibility in their efforts to entertain you. 

Sassy's the Clown's Facepainting - Sassy often teams up with her daughter Brittany and they make a great mother-daughter dynamic duo. They can be booked together or separately and their work is on par with the best the city has to offer. 

Sassy is also available to instruct facepainting workshops and she coordinates the artistic talents of the facepainting division of Dr. Kaboom's Mini Mobile Circus.

Kanata Face Painters - Dr. Kaboom's has taken over the former Kanata Face painters and incorporated their talents with those of Donna, Loni,  Brittany and the rest allowing greater flexibility for bookings.  We have upgraded their skills, equipment and paints and we can offer Henna tattoos to go with our new improved look. Watch for the girls at venues all over the national capital region. Ottawa's oldest facepainting company with 25 years of experience in the industry is now part of Dr. Kaboom's Mini Mobile Circus..

Mistress of Costumes - Dr. Kaboom's outfits are custom designed by Joanne McBay of Ottawa including his stilt suits, the fire show's flame outfits and more. A typo on Dr. Kaboom's 2006 collector card lists her as the World's Best Customer. It should have read the 'World's Best Costumer'.
